# Qoi

> Qoi is the security and governance layer between AI agents and money. Qoi Guard scans the process tree behind every agent connection and verifies code signatures against the genuine vendors, so a spoofed process can't impersonate your AI. A human sets the spending policy (daily, weekly or monthly allowances); every payment is risk-scored, and anything outside policy waits for one-tap human approval on the Qoi Guard app. Keys stay on the user's device; payments settle on Base (an Ethereum layer 2). Agents connect over MCP (Model Context Protocol) and can pay for x402-protected, pay-per-use resources. Built by Qoi Pond Ltd, a UK-registered company (Company No. 17206307).
